wow what a day it has been! i have actually been so productive today even i can't believe it. :) i pretty much stayed up all night on wednesday finishing up a paper (i got a 3 hour nap from 3-6) an so last night i crashed after class! i got like over 9 hours of sleep and it was great! then i got up this morning and was gettting my stuff out and getting prepared to do my quiet time and i started praying. i always start off my quiet times with prayer but today there was just something different in my heart. i had so many people and things God had laid on my heart that i just couldn't stop praying. it was so overwhelming and amazing to sit a talk with God about everything for a while this morning.
it's really funny too because we were talking in small group this week about what hinders our quiet times. and i know for me it's always about time. i'm usually pretty good about doing the quiet time, but a lot of times its just a see how fast i can read this section and answer these questions because i have a thousand other things to do! but today i really took the time and just took a breath and did what God wanted and it seems like i had more time today than i typically have in three! God is just so amazing when you stop and trust and follow His lead!
So after my quiet time, i unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, got all of my clothes separated for the laundry, and cooked a great breakfast! then i headed out to hit the library (my home away from home). i got a lot of my paper finished up... only 2-3 more pages to go and the paper has to be from 8-10 pages so i feel like i'm doing pretty good. :) then i came back to the apartment and got the clothes and headed to our laundry facilty room. i worked on proof reading what i have finished of my paper, strated reading the book of Luke for class and now i'm updating my blog. wow what a day and it's only friday. :) my entire weekend and week will be busy like this.
well that's all that i have for right now. there will be several prayers at the bottom of this post, like i said there is a lot going on right now and i just want you guys to be aware of it :)
~Deanna and TJ- a family in my small group welcomed their 4th child into the world today- Ellianna Hope- 7lbs 1oz. Everyone is doing great!
~job interviews next week!!! Monday at 9 and Wednesday at 11.
the one Wed I will be having to travel 5 hrs away for so please specifically pray for safety!
~my quiet times- that i would continue to let God guide them and not let it be something that I check off my list every day
~also just some personal things that I am dealing with that are sorta distracting me from where my focus needs to be so just pray that I can keep a positive attitude and have my focus on God and not the things of the earth!
~Dr Heath Thomas- his g'mother passed away yesterday and she was a very strong person within his family!
