things are still going as usually up here. it has been an exciting month though! i was working two jobs last semester. i was teaching preschool mon through fri in the morning and then babysitting for a small group every monday night. then in the middle of dec i picked up a third job! i am working for sylvan learning center about 10 hours a week. this was such a blessing from god for this job. i was scrapping by with the other jobs, but i really wanted to get to where i wasn't pulling anything out of savings and even start working on the tad bit of debt i accumulated when i first moved last year. so this extra money will be just what i needed. the god thing about it is that i wasn't even really looking. i had decided that i was going to be very proactive about looking after christmas, but through my roommate god pretty much put the opportunity right into my lap! i love how i am daily reminded that he is taking care of me. :) for the first three months i was here i couldn't find a job and then each semester he has increased his blessings on me and completely provided even when i wasn't looking!
my january has been pretty uneventful and can i just say i am loving it! sebts does jan-term classes, which i did not take any, so my spring semester doesn't start for another two weeks. I am still only taking three classes this semester. i really thought about taking four with the extra money from the extra job, but then i realized that it would be really difficult to balance four classes and working about 35 hours a week. so once again i am only taking three. if i stay here for the summer i am going to take one during the summer, but if not i will just take four both semesters next year so that i can still finish up next may! so if anyone wants an excuse to come to NC i will be graduating from seminary the end of may 2012 so come on up. :) i didn't walk when i graduated from uofa, and several people told me that i should! honestly i have no regrets from not walking in that graduation. while i loved my time in t-town, i got messed up by ua and ended up being in school a year longer than i was suppose to be, so i was just ready to be finished! now seminary will be a totally different story. i cannot wait to walk across that stage and be handed my masters. i have and will continue to work so hard on this and i am excited to stand up there with my fellow classmates and praise god for the opportunity he has given me.
i am also excited about all the babies that will be coming this summer! i have three friends who are all due within a month of each other :) and one is having twins! another one is some friends of mine who had decided to adopt and of course god in his wonderful and mysterious ways has blessed them with a pregnancy! i am so excited for them about this, but maybe even more excited that they are still going through with the adoption process! i am so proud and honored to call these special people my friends.
it's going to be a fun and busy semester so i am just going to sit back and relax for the next two weeks before i have to buckle up and hold on tight for the next four months!
